Ayla just had a litter jan 31, 2018
Ayla Autumn's half sister and they both had the same mom/dam but different fathers/sires.
Ayla also carries a small bit of Torbec in addition to Brody being 50% Torbec.
She is health tested w good hips exc elbows
dna all clear, cardiac, and full blood panel at
2.5yrs old ruling out thyroid, diabetes, renal kidney failure and More.
Ayla is 25in tall and approx 56 lbs and a true Apricot from 2 red parents. She and Brody will also produce dark reds yet the size range will be approx 23-26-27in . She carries mainly RED in her lines and while i say Color is the icing on the cake, she should produce beautiful reds in her upcoming litter that will have confidence, high intellengence yet a nice easy going happy temperament with diverse abilities due to Breeding with Brody.
Ayla is super sweet and jokingly we call her Mellow Yellow as she's such a sweet, gentle and calm poodle. She also knows how to use her paw like a human hand to open the baby gate. Once in a blue moon Ayla does a ballet form of jumping over the gate when we have used a bungee cord to stop her from opening the baby gate hahaaaa
Inside Ayla wants to snuggle next to you or forgets she is not a small lap dog climbing into your lap hahhaa and If asked to get OFF she moves inch by inch like a sloth giving us the saddest look she can muster up. we love when she has her front legs on the floor but the back part of her is still on me or the couch hahhaa similar to have a Dali painting created right before my eyes hahhaaa
My husband loves to call her his Special Needs poodle however she outsmarts him any chance she gets---I love it!!!
Outside Ayla runs like a cheetah and is faster than Brody which is amazing, thus she runs min of 45mph or faster as I refuse to let my husband go any faster in our yard on the Yamaha Grizzly 550 ATV OR should I say we would run out room on 6 acres and my husband would land in the creek the size of a river.
Ayla is the type of poodle everyone loves and gets along with all our poodles in our home. She is full of so much love it's hard to NOT stop what we're doing at the moment and give her a hug getting sweet kisses in return. Hugging is another favorite thing Ayla loves to do to me.
Poodles Hug by putting their paws around your waist or on your chest and looking up with the most soulful eyes showing genuine unconditional love. We have even had people that are scared of dogs feel comfortable around Ayla letting go of their fear and petting her due to her gentle loving nature. NOW I will admit when she plays she sounds exactly like a lion and has such a deep bark delivery men are scared poopless of her hahaaa If they only knew the truth. So she's definitely a good alarm when someone is in our driveway or at our door. Normally she's not a barker just alerts us when someone is here which I find very handy as we are in the country.
Ayla until she became pregnant in June 2016 she was tending to Levi then Sadie Sue our dark red toy poodles. She was mimicing the care a 2-3 week old std poodle would require right down to trying to stimulate them hhaaa and oh I had to stop her from trying to carry Sadie Sue around in her mouth. She also makes sure no poodle in this house plays anything but gentle with Sadie sue. NOW I had 2 septic shock episodes spending a week in hospital both times. When I arrived home what did I see? Sadie Sue trying to nurse on Ayla mostly , sometimes Autumn. YES they let her!! I take it was a comfort behavior as they're all medic alert poodles which means being separated from me affects them all differently. Regardless, NOW that Ayla is having her 1st litter early Aug 2016, I swear she already knows what to do from watching Autumn and with Levi & Sadie Sue she adopted them as if her own little puppies to take care of. She even lets Sadie Sue sleep under her ears hahhaaa
Its so endearing to witness.
Ayla had 2.5weeks of morning through the night sickness. I swore she turned a few shades of green but with good canned food, coconut oil being fed earlier than usual , Ayla was able to finally eat well. OH she even hated her per-natal vitamins till her "morning sickness" was completely gone.AND she has MORE energy once again. I was nervous at 1st she slept so much but at times pregnant poodles are very similar to pregnant humans.
The name Ayla comes from Clan of the Cave Bear and also she was born in October late at night with almost a full moon, thus Ayla also means aura of the moon. Spirit was the name her breeder gave her thus I included it in her AKC registered name as she has a beautiful , genuine, loving sweet spirit.
BTW Ayla can talk like her half sister Autumn but stopped trying to say words. HOWEVER she does sound like a lion when playing & scares the bejeebers out of delivery men with her deep almost masculine bark and when she Grins they turn ashen white!! hahahahaa I get some good laughs. IF its the mailman we let her and our other poodles meet him.
Ayla is always going to stay the color she is HOWEVER with all the red in her lineage when bred with Brody she will produce dark reds but we could also be blessed with a true apricot here and there. I say we do not breed for color, rather it's the health, temperament, conformation and COLOR is the icing on the cake.

Ayla is a very special poodle both in our home and hearts yet also the way she helped me recuperate,(and my other poodles too) to laugh, smile, not feel lonely and feel deeply loved while getting into full remission from Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Honestly, I had days I could barely hold my head up but I managed to walk all my dogs and show them the love they deserve. I even played fetch from the couch on low key days lol
But Ayla surprised me, she was much calmer and gentler than most 5mos old puppies, sticking close to my side too. A month after Ayla's arrival I was in full remission!!!!
I say get rich quick----> count your blessings !!
AND Ayla was an extra blessing added to the ones I had already.
PS she loves grooming hahhaa as its her way of being alone with me and getting tons of kisses, hugs and praise.
All our poodles though have their very own special loving ways and to this day my husband and I are wondering just how big and deep can our hearts grow with love for Autumn, Brody, Ayla and now Mee Mee. It seems as if grows bigger and deeper with each passing day.
NOTE:, AYLA is another medic alert dog. when you call just ask me how and I'll tell you.
LASTLY, Ayla was GREAT with all of Autumn's litters. In fact she is a fantastic big sister teaching the puppies how to play including tug of war, let them lay on top of her, very gentle and more. Ayla is also Mee Mee's best buddy that we kept from Autumn's 1st litter.
Watching Ayla play with any of our poodles is most definitely comedy hour. LOL HOWEVER I must add that Ayla is dying to have puppies of her own. She's like Sad Sack wanting a puppy of her own from ages 1 week to 4 weeks BEFORE they're allowed inside the x-pen and/or in the living room.
Below is pictures of Ayla at 2 weeks old till present day.
